JOZI FM BREAKFAST SHOW COMPETITION WILL RUN FROM 30 MAY TO 3 JUNE 2022 (“COMPETITION PERIOD”)

 

  1. HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION:
  1. Participants are to make a video for Jozi FM breakfast show telling them why they should win a Yoco Khumo machine and the grand prize of R50 000 (Fifty Thousand Rand) (“Grand Prize”) and telling Jozi FM what they would do with the grand prize.
  2. Jozi FM agrees to run the competition daily (Monday to Friday) on their Breakfast Show starting on 30 May 2022 to 3 June 2022.
  3. Participants are to send their video via WhatsApp to the station. Jozi FM agrees to make WhatsApp details available to their audience so they can participate in the competition.
  4. Participants can enter the competition as many times that they like. However, participants can only win one Yoco Khumo machine and are then put in the running to win the Grand Prize.
  1. SELECTION PROCESS AND PRIZES:
  1. Winners will be selected by Jozi FM.
  2. There will be 5 Yoco Khumo machines given to 5 different winners on the Jozi FM Breakfast Show every Monday to Friday during the Competition Period.
  3. Jozi FM will be responsible for ensuring the prize winners receive their Yoco Khumo machines, which are already in the possession of Jozi FM.
  4. The winners of the Yoco Khumo machines will also be placed on the list to be eligible to win the Grand Prize, Jozi FM to ensure that this happens.
  5. Jozi FM will select the winner of the Grand Prize on 3 June 2022.
  6. Jozi FM will pay the Grand Prize of R50 000 into the prize winner’s bank account. Yoco will contribute R30 000 of the cash prize. Yoco will pay this amount to Jozi FM, into a bank account communicated to Yoco in writing.
  7. Jozi FM will be responsible for notifying winners and to make the necessary arrangements for the winners to receive their prizes. If Jozi FM is not able to contact the winner despite reasonable attempts within a reasonable time, Jozi FM may disqualify the winner and select an alternative winner, in which event the initial winner will have no recourse against Jozi FM and Yoco.
  8. No late entries will be accepted.
  1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
  1. The promoter of this competition is Yoco Technologies Proprietary Limited (Registration No. 2013/203377/07) (“Yoco”) and is sponsored by Jozi FM.
  2.  By entering this competition, the participant accepts the full terms, conditions and rules of this competition and agrees to abide by these rules. As this competition is entered through WhatsApp and Jozi FM, the participant agrees that the applicable WhatsApp and/or Jozi FM rules will also apply to their entry.
  3. The following persons are not eligible to receive the prize: a director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant to Yoco or Jozi FM, or any marketing service provider in respect of the promotional competition or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Yoco or its suppliers of goods or services in connection with this competition, or the spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of such a person.
  4. The Yoco Khumo machine shall not be redeemable for cash and are not transferable.
  5. The Grand Prize is not transferable.
  6. Once the winners have been contacted, their details may be published on Yoco’s or Jozi FM’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram page.
  7. All participants agree that their name/s and/or photograph/s may be used in any promotional and/or advertising for the purposes of marketing, which permission may be revoked at any time.
  8. Yoco or Jozi FM may require the winner to provide such additional information that may be reasonably required in order to process and facilitate their acceptance and/or use of a prize.
  9. The Grand Prize amount is to be used only towards improving the business of the winner and shall not be used for personal use or any other use whatsoever. The winner will be required to provide the station and Yoco with documentary proof satisfactory to the station and Yoco of the use of the amount. A representative from the station and Yoco will, in their discretion, be entitled to inspect any improvements alleged to have been made by the winner towards their business with the Grand Prize amount. Yoco and the station, will visit the business of the winner to inspect how the amount has been used to improve the business of the winner. If Yoco or the station, in their discretion, determine that the Grand Prize money or a portion thereof has not be used as aforesaid then Yoco and the station will be entitled to immediate repayment of the amount as specified by Yoco and the station on their demand.
  10. If the winner fails to comply with any of these rules or the terms of acceptance of the prize, this will be construed as a rejection of the prize and then, without prejudice to any other remedy which Yoco may have, the winner will be automatically disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
  11. Yoco reserves the right to vary, postpone, suspend, or cancel the competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which it reasonably deems necessary.
  12. By entering into the competition the participant may stand a chance to win a prize and there are no guarantees.
  13. Yoco and Jozi FM will not be liable for any technical problems or any lost, delayed or incorrectly received entries.
  14. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
  15. Yoco and Jozi FM disclaims liability however arising and the participants hereby indemnify Yoco and Jozi FM and hold Yoco and Jozi FM and/or its subsidiaries (including directors, employees, members, independent contractors, agents, consultants, sub-contractors and other representatives) harmless from any and all loss/damages that may be sustained directly/indirectly arising out of/pursuant to this competition or resulting from the acceptance of and/or possession of and/or use of the prize on offer, including but not limited to loss/damages arising out of/pursuant to personal injury, death, property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation and/or privacy rights.
  16. In the event of a dispute, the decision of Yoco is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. These terms and conditions will be construed, interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of contract and dispute resolution in the Republic of South Africa.
